Public consultation on reforms to the UK’s data protection regime, as part of the government's 'National Data Strategy'

The government recently announced a consultation into the future of data protection in the UK, in a post-Brexit context.

As part of the government’s announced National Data Strategy and 10 Tech Priorities, the new consultation on the future of the UK’s data protection regime puts forwards a series of proposals in order to (in its words) “secure an even better data protection regime that fully supports a world-leading digital economy across the UK”.
